Ferguson One-Name Study

The Ferguson One-Name Study has been completely revised. The URL to the trees has changed to http://fergys.co.uk/Ferguson/
371 new names have been added to the Ferguson One-Name Study, mainly from Lancashire.
This Study now comprises 9340 Fergusons, mainly from the north of England with a total of 12,197 individuals in 2802 families.

515 new names have been added from Liverpool, Lancashire, England, of these 397 are Ferguson.
The censuses for Liverpool from 1841 to 1911 are now complete.
The site now contains 11,826 individuals of which 9,061 are Fergusons.

An additional 383 names have been added to this Study, completing the inclusion of the 1911 for Northumberland, County Durham, Cumberland and Westmorland - with thanks to James Ferguson and Linda Silcock.
It now comprises 11,311 names of which 8665 are Fergusons, or derivatives thereof.

An additional 115 names have been added to this Study, completing the inclusion of the 1911 for Northumberland together with a number of additons to the Stockton on Tees Ferguson - with thanks to Kevin Ferguson.
It now comprises 10,817 names of which 8285 are Fergusons, or derivatives thereof.

At last I am getting back to normal after 3 months of interruptions!
The 1881 census records for County Durham have now been added, and a number of new records, in particular from Scotland and Canada. Many thanks to all those who have contributed.
The Study now comprises 8704 names of which 6631 are Fergusons, or derivatives thereof

A net total of 889 names have been added to the One-Name Study which now comprises 8068 individuals of whom 6136 are Fergusons.
The additional names relate to persons living in County Durham on census dates from 1841, up to, and including, the 1971 census
In total there are now 14,215 individual names on this site.

A number of duplications have been removed from the Ferguson One-Name Study, and many maiden names added.
A net total of 853 names have been added to the One-Name Study which now comprises 7179 individuals of whom 5430 are Fergusons.

The Ferguson One-Name section has been completely reformatted using Humogen.
A total of 979 names have been added to the Ferguson One-Name Study which now comprises 6370 individuals of whom 4866 are Fergusons.

A total of 521 names have been added to the Ferguson One-Name Study which now comprises 4969 individuals of whom 3731 are Fergusons.
My work next moth will be concentrated on Northumberland

Recording the 1841-1901 census information for the Hundred of West Derby section of the Ferguson One-Name Study has been finished, and a large proportion of the Salford Hundred has also been added. A total of 409 individuals have been added this month.
The One-Name study now has 4448 individuals of whom 3329 are Fergusons.

Introduction

Last month, 1 April 2010, the data which has previously been available from one of my other sites has been transferred to this new section of my main site, and I hope that this will make it more accessible to more people.

Over 100 new names have been added, mainly from north Lancashire, England, and more specifically, Ulverston and Lancaster areas.

Whereas previously I had been more concerned with the north west of England it is now my intention to open it up to Fergusons from anywhere, so all trees and information are welcome. However, most of my own work will continue to be in England.
