  General Notes:

Death Certificate in 1887 shows age as 41 years so Birth c.1846.
Wedding Certificate in 1871 shows age as 22 years so Birth c.1849.
The wedding certificate for Sarah Booth indicates a John Booth to be her father. As Sarah's birth is circa 1848 and John Booth married in 1852 it is likely Sarah was born of a prior liaison with an, as yet, unknown woman.
There is a IGI Record in Family Search showing a Sarah Booth with parents John Booth and Nancy. There is no GRO Birth Certificate to match this entry but there is a strong possibility this is the Sarah Booth who married William Grimshaw.
There is a page of the 1851 Census showing George Booth (father) and John Booth (son) and also showing a Sarah Booth as a Visitor. All ages are in right order and, although there is no further proof, it is very likely that this is the correct Sarah Booth. The logic is that the 3 year old Sarah as Visitor appears to have no accompanying parents and, as John is shown to be single, it is likely that Sarah is his child and is being looked after by the other parent.
