    There is an additional book review in the Web Books Section, and a new software entry for web designers IE Tester which enables one to test a site in different versions of IE.

    As far as I can see the problems have now been corrected, but with nearly 6000 pages some errors may still exist - if you find some do please let me know.

    Nevertheless, the display in IE6 is not as good as that in Firefox3 and the later versions of IE.

    For best presentation, Java needs to be enabled, also Javascript and Flash need to be installed.

    There are three main families. That of John Thatcher, who married Mary Oakley in 1835.

    The other two are the Cooper and Robert families, related by marriage as John James Cooper married Ann Eliza Roberts in 1890.

    The full Family Trees have been replaced by new Dynamic Family Trees enabling one to view any family tree contained on the site. The Grimshaws tree can be found Here.

    A new GUI has neen added to FamGedCon, the OpenOffice.org based free downloadable contacts database for genealogists. The improvements give improved access, and in particular better editing.

    Following the release of the 1911 English census work has been commenced on entering these details, starting with the close families.

    43 new names and 6 new surnames have been added, in particular to the Gerrard and Hone Families. See the Surname List.

    There has not been any addition to the number of individuals during December but the site has been completely revised and new sections added, in particular two sections of book reviews.

    Most of the site has been changed from html to php format in order to enable future flexibility in site design. During early January the site may be shut down for not more than 1/2 day to enable the transfer of the site to a new server.
