bullet  Research Notes:

At the 1881 census Ann was living with William Halsall, his wife Elizabeth and their family and was described as "Mother" - but whose has yet to be established. Because the 1881 census stated "Mother" as "relationship to the head" she has been attached to William.
In 1851 Staying with Ann is Janes Halsall described as "Brother"
In 1841 James Halstall is living with Mary Halsall (widow) and is described as her son.
Hence a working hypothesise is that Ann was named Halsall, first married William Eden and then Adam Mather.
