bullet  Marriage Notes:

The children's surnames were spelt as Forgeron in 1841 census index at Ancestry.co.uk. With the exception of Benjamin their other children were extracted from the 1841 census. Although their parents were not at the property the record is thought to be correct because: Benjamin's name, date of birth and occupation are the same as on the 1851 census, additionally the Salford residence was not unexpected and both Benjamin, Samuel and Mary were born out of Lancashire. Benjamin is known to have been born in Westmorland. Where William was staying at 1841 census is not known.

There is some evidence that William had a first marriage to a Margaret who would have been the mother of all the known children. The ages of the children are also strongly indicative of marriage before that to Ann.

Had grand-daughter, Mary Ferguson (Samuel Ferguson's daughter) aged 13 born Salford, staying with them at census 1861
